Human Resources Officer

About the role

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Human Resources Officer to join St John of God Health Care in Perth. You will provide comprehensive transactional and advisory HR services to line managers and caregivers across the employment lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Assess and process changes to caregiver positions, parental leave, resignations, reporting relationships, costing and structural changes, ensuring accurate updates in Workday.
• Prepare and submit payroll documentation in line with agreed schedules.
• Interpret and apply Enterprise Bargaining Agreements, Awards and employment legislation, providing practical advice on HR policies and employee entitlements.
• Maintain HR systems, employee records and compliance documentation in a high‑volume transactional environment.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a similar HR role, preferably within shared services or high‑volume transactional settings.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.
• Understanding of Australian employment legislation and industrial instruments.

Required skills

• Workday HRIS (experience highly regarded).
