About the role
We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to lead the people strategy for a premier luxury hospitality group that operates iconic destinations in Perth and Melbourne. This role will partner with senior leaders to shape culture, drive engagement and ensure compliance across a fast‑paced, service‑driven environment.
Key responsibilities
- Collaborate with leadership to develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business goals.
- Support managers with employee relations, performance management and workforce planning.
- Oversee recruitment, onboarding and off‑boarding processes.
- Coordinate payroll systems, including overseas operations and complex wage structures such as penalty rates.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, including the Modern Slavery Act and HIGA Awards.
- Drive employee engagement initiatives to maintain a motivated, high‑performing team.
- Lead health, safety and wellbeing programs in line with WorkSafe guidelines.
- Maintain HR systems, policies and reporting processes.
- Contribute to internal communications, recognition programs and overall company culture.
Required profile
- 4+ years of experience in a generalist HR role within a fast‑paced hospitality environment.
- Commercial property and HIGA award experience, strong knowledge of Fair Work and grievance handling.
- Proven stakeholder management skills across all organisational levels.
- Sound understanding of employment legislation, compliance and the Modern Slavery Act.
- Experience overseeing payroll functions.
- Exceptional planning, organisational and communication abilities.
- Collaborative, people‑first mindset with a passion for positive workplace culture.
- Experience using HRIS systems.
