Human Resources Generalist – Manufacturing Site

About the role

We are looking for a Human Resources Generalist to join our Devonport manufacturing site, supporting a workforce of over 350 employees. Working closely with the Site HR Manager, you will partner with leaders across diverse functions and contribute to a broad range of HR initiatives that shape the employee experience.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to employee queries regarding payroll, HR policies and procedures.
• Manage the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, transfers and off‑boarding.
• Provide practical HR advice to leaders and staff across the site.
• Support performance management processes and workplace investigations.
• Assist with Enterprise Agreement negotiations and related communications.
• Contribute to site change initiatives, projects and communications.
• Collaborate with Payroll and specialist HR teams to ensure accurate processing.
• Maintain HR systems and employee records in line with legislative and business requirements.
• Identify and recommend process improvements.

Required profile

• Experience in a generalist HR role within a manufacturing or similar environment.
• Strong knowledge of employee lifecycle processes and HR policies.
• Ability to build effective relationships with managers and employees.
• Understanding of Australian workplace legislation and enterprise agreements.
• Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.
