Human Resources Coordinator – HR Generalist Role

About the role

We are partnering with a well‑established engineering and infrastructure organisation to hire a Human Resources Coordinator. The position sits within a collaborative People & Culture team and offers a genuine pathway to develop into an HR Advisor, Consultant and eventually HR Business Partner.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day HR support to employees and managers, answering queries and guiding processes.
• Coordinate end‑to‑end recruitment activities, including job advertising, interview scheduling, reference checks and offer preparation.
• Prepare employment contracts, promotions, resignations and other employee documentation.
• Manage onboarding, probation reviews and new‑starter experiences.
• Support employee engagement initiatives, benefits programs and visa applications with external immigration providers.
• Assist with HR reporting, workforce data, diversity reporting and exit interviews.
• Contribute to policy reviews, performance review cycles, training coordination and broader HR projects.
• Maintain HR systems, records and internal documentation.

Required profile

• Previous experience as an HR Coordinator or HR Generalist.
• Tertiary qualification in Human Resources or a related discipline.
• Familiarity with Australian employment legislation and HR best practices.
• Strong organisational abilities, high attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
• Proactive, solutions‑focused mindset and ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
