Human Resources Coordinator – Hospitality

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Human Resources Coordinator/Officer to join our Scoresby property on a full‑time basis. Reporting to the General Manager, you will support daily HR operations and help drive our strategic hospitality objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Support recruitment and onboarding, including job postings, screening, interview coordination and new‑employee orientation.
• Maintain HR records, employee files and personnel databases in line with legal and company requirements.
• Process employee documentation such as contracts, leave requests, payroll information and performance records.
• Assist in developing and implementing HR policies, procedures and employee communications.
• Provide administrative support for performance management, appraisals and training programmes.
• Respond to employee inquiries on HR policies, benefits and workplace matters.
• Coordinate employee engagement events, training sessions and professional development activities.
• Help ensure compliance with workplace health and safety, workers’ compensation and legislative requirements.
• Prepare HR reports, statistics and documentation as requested by management.

Required profile

• Relevant qualification in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience in an HR coordinator or administrative HR role, preferably in hospitality or a service‑oriented environment.
• Strong organisational, time‑management and communication skills.
• Knowledge of Australian employment law and workplace relations.
• High level of discretion and ability to handle confidential information.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with HR information systems or databases.
