Human Resources Business Partner (FIFO 8/6)

About the role

Focus Minerals is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner to join its team on an 8/6 FIFO roster based out of Perth. Reporting to the HR Manager, you will partner with leaders and employees to implement HR strategies that drive performance and engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and support investigations, disciplinary matters and grievances, ensuring accurate documentation and outcomes.
• Provide consistent, practical, and fair HR advice to managers on all people‑related issues.
• Review, update and develop HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legislation and best practice.
• Stay current with the Fair Work Act, Modern Awards and other HR legislation to mitigate risk.
• Champion company values and promote a positive workplace culture.
• Maintain confidential employee personnel files and issue change‑of‑conditions letters promptly.
• Ensure HRIS data is current, performing quarterly audits to maintain system integrity.

Required profile

• Degree in Human Resources or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• Broad generalist HR experience with the ability to operate at strategic and operational levels.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state HR legislation and compliance requirements.
• Demonstrated experience developing, reviewing and implementing HR policies and procedures.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships.
• High level of discretion and ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Legal right to work in Australia and willingness to undergo pre‑employment medical and police checks.
