Human Resources Advisor

About the role

JK Williams is seeking a proactive Human Resources Advisor to support its workforce across New South Wales and Queensland. You will act as the primary HR point of contact, handling the full employee lifecycle and contributing to a positive workplace culture.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day HR advice and support to managers and employees in NSW and QLD.
• Manage employee relations matters, including performance management, disciplinary processes, grievances and workplace investigations.
• Own return‑to‑work coordination for injured workers, liaising with doctors, rehabilitation providers, insurers and managers.
• Collaborate with the HSEQ team on workers’ compensation, injury management and safety incident matters.
• Support onboarding, induction and performance review cycles for new starters.
• Maintain and administer the HRIS (ELMO) system.
• Drive culture and engagement initiatives, recognition programmes and employee feedback processes.
• Ensure compliance with the Fair Work Act, Modern Awards and internal policies.
• Handle HR administration, reporting, uniform and PPE ordering, and provide general support to the HR Manager.
• Participate in external audits and maintain the Integrated Management System.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience in a generalist HR role.
• Strong knowledge of the Fair Work Act, National Employment Standards and Modern Awards.
• Hands‑on experience with employee relations, including performance, conduct and grievance processes.
• Experience coordinating return‑to‑work and workers’ compensation cases is highly regarded.
• Excellent written communication skills.
