Human Resources Advisor

About the role

Working closely with site leaders and operational teams at the Cobar site, the Human Resources Advisor will help build a positive workplace culture, support workforce performance, and ensure compliance with employment legislation and company policies.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day HR advice, coaching and support to leaders and employees across the site.
• Support employee relations matters, including investigations, performance management, disciplinary processes and workplace concerns.
• Assist with the interpretation and application of enterprise agreements, policies, procedures and employment legislation.
• Partner with leaders to support workforce planning, role changes, recruitment activities and people-related operational needs.
• Contribute to workplace change initiatives, culture programs, engagement activities and wellbeing initiatives.
• Support training, development and capability‑building activities across the workforce.
• Maintain accurate HR records, reporting and documentation to support effective people management.
• Build trusted relationships with leaders, employees and key stakeholders across a complex operational environment.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Human Resources or a related discipline.
• Previous experience as an HR Advisor, HR Officer or in a similar people‑focused role.
• Sound understanding of Fair Work legislation, employee relations processes and HR best practice.
• Ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures and industrial instruments.
• Strong communication skills with confidence to engage at all organisational levels.
• Practical problem‑solving abilities and capacity to manage competing priorities.
• Willingness to work in a remote, site‑based and operational environment.
• Experience in a blue‑collar workforce is highly regarded.
• Current driver’s licence.
