Human Resources Advisor – HR Generalist

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Advisor to join Ertech’s Wangara office and support HR functions across Australia. Reporting to the HR Manager, you will provide advice on workforce planning, industrial relations, performance management, training, and remuneration.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for employee and industrial relations matters, interpreting company policies, procedures, entitlements, and employment legislation.
• Develop, implement and review HR processes, procedures and management tools.
• Manage workforce planning activities and support succession planning and employee retention strategies.
• Coach, mentor and train managers and supervisors on HR practices and workplace culture.
• Identify opportunities for enhanced HR reporting and workforce analytics.
• Assist with HR projects such as salary benchmarking, remuneration and benefits strategy.
• Provide HR information for tendering and bidding processes.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with operational employees and management teams.
• Handle workplace issues including grievances, performance improvement, conduct investigations and disciplinary matters.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Human Resources or Employee Relations (or equivalent).
• Minimum 3 years experience in an HR Generalist role.
• Comprehensive knowledge of contemporary HR practices, policies and procedures.
• Demonstrated understanding of the Industrial Relations framework.
• Experience developing and implementing HR policies and process improvements.
• Valid Australian working rights.
