HSE Specialist – Projects (5:2 FIFO Roster)

About the role

Sodexo is seeking an experienced HSE Specialist to join its Projects team on a permanent, full‑time basis. Based in Balcatta, the role involves regular travel to Pilbara sites and supports both capital works and smaller projects delivered through subcontractors.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary HSE contact for clients, community groups and internal stakeholders, addressing concerns and complaints.
• Manage HSE activities, programmes, drills and meetings for both company and client requirements.
• Prepare and present HSEQ KPI reports to senior management.
• Facilitate risk assessments, maintain site‑specific risk registers and ensure they are communicated.
• Investigate incidents, near‑misses and procedural deficiencies, and ensure lessons learned are implemented across sites.
• Conduct monthly HSE inspections, capture non‑conformances and drive corrective actions.
• Review and update HSE manuals, policies, procedures and management plans as needed.

Required profile

• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (minimum).
• Current Western Australian C Class driver’s licence.
• Construction White Card.
• Experience in facilities management and/or construction environments.
• FIFO or remote‑site experience is advantageous but not mandatory.

Required skills

• Certified in Internal Auditing (desirable).
• Root Cause Incident Investigation training (TapRoot/Essential Factors) (desirable).
