HSE Advisor – Safety & Compliance Specialist

About the role

Sodexo is seeking an experienced HSE Advisor to support its Global Strategic Accounts portfolio across Eastern Australia. You will provide operational HSE guidance, conduct audits, and drive continuous improvement to ensure safety, compliance and quality standards are met.

Key responsibilities

• Provide HSE support for contract mobilisation, transition and ongoing delivery.
• Develop HSE plans, risk assessments, and tender responses.
• Coach operational leaders to improve HSE capability and performance.
• Facilitate risk assessments, HAZIDs, Management of Change and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support incident investigations, corrective actions and verify effectiveness.
• Execute a risk‑based HSE Assurance Program and conduct internal, client and supplier audits.
• Monitor legislative and contractual compliance and prepare assurance reports for senior leadership.
• Assist with digital HSE tools such as Enablon and support ISO certification audits.

Required profile

• Diploma or higher in Workplace Health & Safety or related field.
• 3‑5 years experience in HSE, compliance or assurance roles.
• Strong knowledge of WHS legislation and HSE Management Systems.
• Experience with ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 frameworks.
• Proven ability to lead investigations, conduct risk assessments and manage corrective actions.
• Excellent analytical, reporting and stakeholder engagement skills.
