HR Generalist – Temp Contract in Sydney CBD

About the role

We are a well‑regarded membership and professional services organisation based in Sydney CBD seeking an experienced HR Generalist for a short‑term contract. The role combines HR advisory and recruitment responsibilities, offering a hands‑on opportunity to support managers and drive people initiatives from day one.

Key responsibilities

• Providing generalist HR support to managers, including employee relations, performance and policy queries.
• Managing end‑to‑end recruitment for a variety of positions.
• Coordinating onboarding and off‑boarding processes.
• Maintaining HR systems and ensuring accurate records.
• Contributing to people and culture initiatives during the contract period.

Required profile

• At least 3 years of generalist HR experience with some recruitment exposure.
• Ability to manage a varied workload and quickly adapt to new tasks.
• Strong communication skills and relationship‑building across all levels.
• Experience in professional services, membership or not‑for‑profit environments is a plus.
