HR Generalist - Pre Client Services

About the role

Peninsula, a provider of HR, employment relations and health and safety advisory backed by a large privately owned business services group, is expanding its Pre-Client Services team. It is looking for an agile, commercially minded HR Generalist to act as subject matter expert on prospective client calls, partnering with senior Business Development Managers as a dedicated technical expert. The role involves diagnosing compliance risks and giving practical, legally compliant HR guidance.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with Business Development Managers to give real-time, expert HR insights during prospective client consultations.
• Think on your feet to break down complex workplace issues and offer simple, practical and legally compliant solutions.
• Hold in-depth discussions with business owners to understand and support their pain points.
• Work collaboratively in a high-energy, in-office team to help meet collective growth targets.

Required profile

• Minimum of 2 years of generalist HR experience with a thorough, practical understanding of the Fair Work Act and National Employment Standards.
• Ability to use HR expertise to influence, build rapport and show commercial value.
• Exceptional verbal skills, able to turn complex legislation into practical advice.
• Thrives under pressure, thinks quickly and enjoys solving problems in real time.
