HR Director – Oceania

About the role

The HR Director will lead the full spectrum of human resources strategy and operations across Oceania, partnering with business leaders and the APAC HR function. This senior role balances strategic leadership with hands‑on execution to build a high‑performance, people‑first culture in both head‑office and retail environments.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the Oceania HR strategy aligned with regional and global priorities.
• Partner with senior leaders to identify workforce trends, capability gaps, and organisational needs.
• Oversee end‑to‑end recruitment, talent pipelines, and succession planning for head‑office and retail.
• Lead performance management, learning & development, and leadership capability building.
• Manage compensation, benefits, budgeting, and workforce cost planning.
• Ensure compliance with local employment legislation, payroll governance, and HR policies.
• Provide expert guidance on employee relations, investigations, and risk management.
• Oversee HR operations, reporting, data integrity, and privacy compliance.
• Coach and develop the HR team, fostering a collaborative, accountable culture.
