HR Business Partner – People Operations

About the role

As a People Partner within Telstra Health’s People Operations team, you will work closely with business leaders to translate people priorities into actionable outcomes that support the delivery of digital healthcare solutions. Reporting to a Senior People Partner and collaborating with a People Advisor, you will provide commercially‑sound advice on workforce planning, organisational change and employee relations.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with leaders to align people initiatives with business objectives and team goals.
• Support portfolio planning and delivery in collaboration with a Senior People Partner.
• Provide practical guidance on organisational change, workforce planning, leadership effectiveness and case management.
• Manage complex employee matters including performance, conduct, grievances, investigations, WorkCover and medical management.
• Apply Workplace Relations and/or Health, Safety and Wellbeing expertise to identify risks, support decision‑making and maintain strong governance.
• Work alongside a People Advisor to ensure consistent and timely delivery across the portfolio.

Required profile

• Proven success in a people‑partnering role within a complex or matrixed environment.
• Demonstrated experience in Workplace Relations and/or Health, Safety and Wellbeing, with confidence handling complex cases and managing risk.
• Ability to influence senior leaders, build trusted relationships and deliver commercially sound advice.
• Comfortable collaborating within a broader partnering team, including Senior People Partners, People Advisors and specialist functions.
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business, Health and Safety or a related discipline.
