HR Business Partner - Parental Leave Contract

About the role

A premier professional services firm in Sydney CBD is looking for a commercially focused HR Business Partner to step into a 12-month parental leave contract. Reporting to senior HR leadership, you will partner with a national portfolio and deliver a balance of strategic advisory, employee relations, talent programs and continuous improvement projects, working alongside key business leaders.

Key responsibilities

• Leadership and culture coaching: work with partners and business leaders on leadership effectiveness, engagement strategies, talent development and an inclusive, high-performing culture.
• Employee relations and compliance: advise on employment rights and obligations, performance management, probation and complex terminations.
• Annual people processes: drive remuneration reviews, talent mapping, promotion cycles and workforce planning.
• People operations and lifecycle management: oversee day-to-day people operations and collaborate with HR Coordinators on accurate employee lifecycle execution.
• Strategic initiatives: champion DEI, employee wellbeing, learning and development and continuous improvement projects across the People team.

Required profile

• Strong business partnering capability and a sophisticated approach to complex stakeholder environments.
• Experience in a fast-paced professional services firm or a corporate environment is highly regarded.
• Exceptional communication skills, sound employment relations expertise and sharp commercial judgment.
• Discretion to handle sensitive situations with confidence.
