HR Assistant (Hybrid, Entry-Level)

About the role

This part‑time, hybrid HR Assistant position is based in Melbourne, offering a blend of on‑site work and agreed‑upon remote days. You will support the daily operations of the HR team, ensuring accurate employee records and smooth onboarding and offboarding processes.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and update employee records and HRIS data.
• Assist with onboarding, offboarding, and benefits documentation.
• Respond to basic employee inquiries and liaise with external providers.
• Organise training sessions, track attendance, and keep learning‑and‑development records.
• Prepare HR reports and support recruitment administration, including interview scheduling and reference checks.
• Provide general administrative support to the HR team.

Required profile

• Foundational knowledge of HR practices and HR management.
• Understanding of benefits administration and training coordination.
• Strong organisational and time‑management abilities with attention to detail.
• Effective written and verbal communication, handling confidential information professionally.
• Ability to work both collaboratively in a team and independently in a hybrid setting.
• Certificate, diploma or bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or a related field (preferred but not mandatory).

Required skills

• HRIS data entry and basic reporting.
• Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
