HR Advisor

About the role

Inspired Education is a global group of premium private schools with 126 schools in 28 countries. The HR Advisor supports Reddam House Schools and Early Learning Schools, working closely with Principals, Deputy Principals and managers to give practical HR advice across the employee lifecycle. Acting as the link between the HR Coordinator and the Senior HR Manager, the role also provides payroll support during peak periods, workforce fluctuations and leave. It is a 12-month fixed-term contract based at the Reddam Head Office in North Sydney.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with Principals and leaders to support workforce objectives
• Support the employee lifecycle: recruitment, onboarding, performance, development and workforce planning
• Manage employee relations matters, including investigations, performance management, grievances and disciplinary processes
• Coach and guide managers on people management
• Advise on employment legislation, Enterprise Agreements, policies and compliance
• Analyse HR data and use HRIS systems for reporting and improvement
• Contribute to HR projects, engagement programs, change and process improvements
• Support payroll administration, employee records and payroll enquiries

Required profile

• Degree in Human Resources, Business or a related discipline
• Previous experience as an HR Advisor, HR Generalist or similar
• Strong employee relations experience, including investigations, performance management and grievance handling
• Ability to coach managers on people matters
• Valid, up-to-date Working with Children Check (WWCC)
• Willingness to travel between campuses and occasional work outside standard hours during peak periods

Required skills

• Sound knowledge of Australian employment legislation, Fair Work and Enterprise Agreements
• Payroll experience, including leave administration and employee data management
• Proficiency in HRIS platforms (SuccessFactors highly regarded)
• Reporting and workforce data analysis
