Housekeeping Supervisor

About the role

Crystalbrook Kingsley, a 130-room five-star hotel in Newcastle, NSW, is looking for a Housekeeping Supervisor. The role is full time and reports to the Executive Housekeeper. It suits someone with a keen eye for detail and a passion for operational hotel leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise the Housekeeping team so that effective systems and operational procedures, including daily checklists, are followed
• Monitor rosters, attendance and team productivity
• Empower individuals to develop and maintain good practices
• Improve guest satisfaction by encouraging teams to deliver service beyond guest expectations
• Provide hands-on supervisory leadership across the area
• Ensure compliance with WHS processes and procedures
• Work closely with other departments for smooth handover of services
• Help with on-the-job department and staff training, and promote health and well-being processes

Required profile

• Proven supervisory experience in housekeeping operations within the hotel industry
• Strong leadership skills and a natural ability to motivate others
• Passion for developing team skills, including onboarding and training
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a guest-service focus
• Attention to detail, good organisation and time management
• Ability to work and decide under pressure and to cover a full-time schedule
• Relevant visa status to live and work in Australia; no sponsorship offered, and WHV or student visas are not considered
