Hospitality Trainee – Wagga Leisure

About the role

Join the Wagga Leisure team as a Hospitality Trainee and gain hands‑on experience across multiple council‑operated venues while completing a nationally recognised qualification. This full‑time paid traineeship offers structured training, mentoring and the chance to develop a solid foundation for a career in hospitality.

Key responsibilities

• Support day‑to‑day hospitality operations at venues such as the Oasis Aquatic Centre, Jim Elphick Tennis Centre, Wagga Wagga Airport and the Livestock Marketing Centre.
• Assist with food and beverage preparation, presentation, service and catering for events.
• Deliver friendly, high‑quality customer service in a fast‑paced environment.
• Help with stock control, ordering and maintain cleanliness, hygiene and safety standards.
• Participate in on‑the‑job training, study and responsible service of alcohol practices.

Required profile

• Enthusiastic, reliable and eager to learn.
• Team player with a strong work ethic and positive attitude.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, customer‑focused environment.
• Flexible to work AM/PM shifts, weekends and public holidays.
• Previous hospitality experience is welcomed but not essential.

• Above‑award rates: $1,654.80 gross per fortnight plus superannuation.
