Hospitality Service Assistant

About the role

Bupa Mosman is a modern care home with 64 beds in a leafy suburb of Sydney's Lower North Shore, offering a variety of care units. It is looking for a part-time Hospitality Service Assistant to support its hospitality function, covering catering, cleaning and laundry, and to give residents an empathetic and personal approach.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain legislated workplace health and safety, quality and hygiene standards
• Complete required documentation and reporting
• Respond to residents' queries and requests
• Laundry: load washers and dryers, sort linen, hang, fold, wrap or iron
• Catering: assist with basic food preparation, provide meals and snacks, clear dining areas and wash dishes
• Cleaning: general cleaning, mopping, vacuuming and waste collection in residents' rooms, bathrooms, communal and living areas

Required profile

• Previous catering, food service or cleaning experience preferred but not essential
• Team player who enjoys interacting with people and helping vulnerable residents
• Flexible availability for a variety of shifts throughout the week
• Understanding of work health, safety and hygiene practices and ability to work unsupervised
