Hospitality All-Rounder – Outback Queensland

About the role

An experienced hospitality all-rounder is sought for a venue in Outback Queensland, accessible by bus from Mackay. The role suits someone who enjoys variety, early starts and hands-on work across front of house, back of house, housekeeping and administration. Accommodation is provided near shopping and services, and the package includes accommodation and Wi-Fi. Commencement is before 17 November 2026; the venue runs reduced hours for two weeks around Christmas and New Year, with free accommodation during that time.

Key responsibilities

• General administration and office duties
• Barista service
• Customer service, taking meal orders and processing payments
• Running meals, clearing and cleaning tables
• EFTPOS and till operation, and the restaurant's online booking system
• General cleaning in restaurant, kitchen and administration areas
• Guest room housekeeping
• General maintenance and minor food prep such as sandwiches and wraps for lunch packs
• Kitchen hand duties and split shifts for breakfast and dinner service

Required profile

• Previous barista experience and previous hospitality experience across multiple areas
• Current RSA or ability to obtain one, and a Food Handlers Certificate or ability to obtain one
• Good written and spoken English
• Ability to work early mornings, including 4.30 am starts, and split shifts
• Willingness to work independently and as part of a team

What we offer

• Casual position at $33.85 per hour Monday to Friday, with weekend and after 7 pm penalty rates
