Home Loans Assurance Manager

About the role

The Home Loans Assurance Manager will provide independent first‑line assurance across ANZ’s Home Loans portfolio. Working closely with business leaders, risk and assurance teams, the role ensures that customer, regulatory and operational obligations are met while driving stronger risk management and better outcomes for borrowers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a risk‑based assurance plan covering all key home loan products, processes and customer journeys.
• Lead assurance reviews across origination, servicing, hardship, remediation, broker channels and supporting operations.
• Assess the design and effectiveness of controls, identify gaps, emerging risks and recommend improvements.
• Provide independent challenge to risk management practices, surface thematic issues and monitor remediation actions.
• Build trusted relationships with Home Loans leaders, product governance, risk, compliance and senior stakeholders, communicating findings and recommendations clearly.

Required profile

• Significant experience in assurance, risk, compliance or internal audit within a banking or financial services environment.
• Strong understanding of home loan products, end‑to‑end loan processes and regulatory requirements.
• Proven ability to analyse complex control environments and produce evidence‑based findings.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience influencing senior leaders.
