Heavy Diesel Mechanic - Pilbara, WA

About the role

Komatsu Australia's Pilbara branches are seeking skilled Heavy Diesel Mechanics to join its service team. You will deliver safe, efficient and high-quality maintenance and repair services to Komatsu customers in the Pilbara region. Multiple roles are available, including Field Service, Site Based and Workshop positions; Field Service employees receive a work vehicle.

Key responsibilities

• Perform machine diagnostics, repairs and maintenance of Komatsu equipment
• Coordinate site-based equipment maintenance projects
• Ensure the reliability and performance of Komatsu machinery

Required profile

• Qualified Plant Mechanic with proven experience in mobile plant maintenance
• Strong technical understanding of Komatsu equipment design and function
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Excellent written and verbal communication, including report writing
• Commitment to customer service with a safety-first mindset
• Strong troubleshooting skills, attention to detail and accuracy, initiative and a continuous improvement mindset
• MR classification driver's licence or willingness to obtain one (desirable)

• Machine diagnostics, repairs and maintenance procedures
• Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Komatsu software: Merchant, Link One and SMAP
