Head of Retail

About the role

A recruitment agency is seeking a strategic, commercially driven executive to lead and grow its client's brand portfolio, multi-site retail network and in-house marketing engine. The client is Western Australia's market leader in high-ticket home improvement and outdoor living, operating commercial and consumer brands across WA and SA with an international footprint. The role reports to the General Manager and Managing Director, covers customer acquisition, brand positioning, sales growth and marketing performance across WA and SA, and sits in Jandakot with monthly network visits and occasional interstate travel.

Key responsibilities

• Formulate and execute the sales and growth strategy across brand portfolios, 10+ WA showrooms/display centres and the South Australian market
• Direct and mentor an internal team of content, digital, web and design specialists, and manage external media, PR and production partners
• Secure alliances, referral pipelines and commercial opportunities with property developers, volume builders and land developers
• Drive integrated marketing campaigns and customer engagement across digital, social and physical channels
• Manage cross-departmental sales and marketing budgets, ensuring clear ROAS, lead conversion and margin accountability
• Work with Operations, Supply Chain, Finance and Product Development to align market demand with operational throughput

Required profile

• 10+ years of senior sales and/or marketing leadership in consumer durables, home improvement, building materials, prefabricated products or large-scale project sectors
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Business, Marketing, Management or a related commercial discipline preferred
• Valid driver's licence
• Full Australian work rights required
• Proven success running integrated marketing functions, managing significant advertising budgets and using data to drive sales
• Strategic vision, stakeholder management, negotiation skills and a track record of cross-functional team success
