About the role
Scotch College invites applications for the Head of Junior School, an executive leadership position overseeing Pre‑Kindergarten to Year 5. The role is a five‑year fixed‑term appointment, reporting directly to the College Executive and shaping the future growth of a thriving learning community.
Key responsibilities
- Provide strategic direction and day‑to‑day leadership for the Junior School.
- Foster strong partnerships with families, staff and the wider school community.
- Maintain and enhance the high‑quality teaching and learning environment for boys.
- Lead enrolment growth initiatives and uphold the school’s values of Integrity, Service and Stewardship.
- Contribute to College‑wide executive decision‑making and policy development.
Required profile
- Extensive experience in senior educational leadership, preferably within primary or junior school settings.
- Demonstrated ability to lead with warmth, presence and strategic insight.
- Strong credibility with children, staff, parents and external stakeholders.
- Commitment to the mission of developing boys of character, curiosity and service.
