Head of Hotels & Holidays

About the role

The Head of Hotels & Holidays will lead strategy for Qantas and Jetstar hotel and holiday portfolios, acting as the senior face of Qantas Loyalty with strategic partners. Based at the Mascot Corporate Campus, this permanent role reports to the B2C leadership team and drives commercial performance across a complex network of hotels, cruise companies and tourism bodies.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and own the 3‑5 year strategy for hotels, partnerships, procurement and connectivity.
• Accountable for performance, revenue, commission, margin and points‑burn outcomes across Qantas and Jetstar.
• Lead cross‑business synergies, change initiatives and new member value propositions.
• Engage senior executives across Loyalty, the airline, Jetstar and external partners.
• Negotiate complex commercial agreements and optimise margins.

Required profile

• 15+ years senior commercial leadership experience, preferably in travel, airline or hospitality.
• Business‑related degree; MBA preferred but not essential.
• Extensive experience in hotels, travel partnerships and procurement.
• Proven capability in complex commercial negotiation and margin optimisation.
• Strategic planning and execution at enterprise scale.
• Strong financial acumen across revenue, EBIT and investment decisions.
• Excellent senior stakeholder management and influencing skills.
• People leadership with a track record of building high‑performing teams.
