Head of Delivery – Senior Leadership (Hybrid, Sydney)

About the role

We are seeking a Head of Delivery to lead our high‑performing engineering teams in Sydney. In this senior leadership position you will own the entire delivery function, enabling the senior leadership team to focus on growth and strategy while you build the systems, processes and people needed to scale.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with technical managers across networking, cyber security, infrastructure and service delivery to improve delivery performance.
• Review customer commitments, projects, SLAs and service quality to ensure successful outcomes.
• Design and implement better processes across engineering teams.
• Drive utilisation, resource planning and delivery profitability.
• Coach and develop future technical leaders within the business.
• Collaborate with commercial teams on solution delivery and customer outcomes.
• Work directly with senior leadership on company strategy and growth plans.
• Maintain enough technical insight to understand decisions while focusing on leadership and structure.

Required profile

• Proven track record of growing from a technical background into senior leadership.
• Deep understanding of how engineers think and how to get the best out of them.
• Ability to introduce structure without creating unnecessary corporate red tape.
• Commercial awareness of delivery decisions and their impact on profitability.
• Ownership mindset – solves problems rather than waiting for others.
• Strategic thinker who is also willing to roll up sleeves when needed.
• Comfortable in a small, high‑performing company where culture fit matters.
