Head Chef - Broadbeach Tavern

About the role

ALH Hotels is looking for a Head Chef to lead the kitchen at its Broadbeach Tavern, a busy venue serving a menu inspired by the local area with steaks, fresh seafood and pub classics. The advertised salary is from $100k plus superannuation and bonuses.

Key responsibilities

• Command the kitchen, keeping it running smoothly, safely and profitably
• Work closely with the Publican and the front-of-house team
• Build and develop a high-performing kitchen team
• Maintain strong communication between the kitchen and front of house

Required profile

• Hands-on role involving manual handling and lifting of stock, kegs and deliveries; applicants must be able to perform these physical tasks safely and efficiently
• Trade cooking qualifications and food safety certifications
• Experience, confidence and pride in owning the kitchen
