Hardware Systems Administrator - DARC Program

About the role

Northrop Grumman Australia is looking for a Hardware Systems Administrator to join its DARC program in Exmouth, Western Australia. DARC supports space domain awareness through advanced, high-performance systems, and the role sits within a small onsite team that keeps mission systems running during live operations. The position involves night shifts, travel of about 10% of the time, and relocation assistance may be available.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain Linux systems through patching, monitoring and fixes
• Support network infrastructure across Cisco environments
• Manage user access and resolve issues during live operations
• Troubleshoot across systems to restore availability quickly
• Support mission operators with real-time technical issues
• Work closely with US teams and the Integrated Remote Operations Centre (IROC)
• Make on-site decisions and resolve incidents end-to-end
• Support a night-shift roster matching the day shift in the US

Required profile

• Australian citizenship is mandatory; international traffic in arms regulations apply
• Minimum NV1 clearance and ability to obtain Security+ certification quickly
• Comfortable working in real time, owning problems and handling night shifts
• Open to relocating to Exmouth, WA

Required skills

• Strong Linux experience
• Cisco networking fundamentals across routing and switching
• Ability to troubleshoot systems end-to-end
