Guest Service Agent - Casual

About the role

We are seeking a Casual Guest Service Agent to join the front‑desk team at Batman’s Hill on Collins, a 4‑star Accor hotel in Melbourne’s CBD. You will work closely with the Front Office Duty Manager to deliver a warm, personalised experience for every guest and help maintain the smooth operation of the reception area.

Key responsibilities

• Provide a unique, personalised experience for each guest, creating connections and exceeding expectations.
• Handle reservation enquiries by phone or email and accurately record guest details in the property‑management system.
• Answer and direct all incoming calls.
• Share information about the hotel facilities and local attractions with guests.
• Assist guests with luggage and other front‑desk requests.
• Maintain the presentation and cleanliness of the front desk and lobby area.

Required profile

• Flexible availability to work a rotating roster, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, public holidays and occasional overnight shifts.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment and prioritise tasks effectively.
• Current full‑time working rights in Australia (no sponsorship available).
• Current RSA certification or willingness to obtain one before start date.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of the RMS property‑management system (training provided for the right candidate).
