Guest Experience Expert

About the role

The Guest Experience Expert will be the face of The Tasman, delivering warm, elegant service to every guest. You will manage arrivals and departures, handle enquiries, and coordinate with internal teams to ensure each stay is seamless and memorable.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome guests, manage check‑ins, check‑outs, room allocations and billing.
• Handle phone and in‑person enquiries with professionalism and efficiency.
• Take reservations when needed, ensuring accuracy and a personalised approach.
• Coordinate guest requests with housekeeping, food & beverage and other departments.
• Anticipate needs, upsell rooms and hotel experiences, and maximise revenue opportunities.
• Resolve guest concerns discreetly, empathetically and with a solutions‑focused mindset.
• Maintain accurate administrative records, including payments and room‑key management.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 + years experience in a front‑desk or guest‑service role.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail, problem‑solving ability and organisational skills.
• Ability to remain calm, connect emotionally with guests and handle conflicts.
• Flexibility to work a 24‑hour rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays.
• Full working rights in Australia.

Required skills

• Experience with the OPERA Property Management System (highly regarded).
