Guest Experience Expert

About the role

The Guest Experience Expert will be the face of The Tasman, delivering warm, personalised service to every guest. Working at the front desk, you will manage arrivals, departures and all guest interactions, ensuring a seamless and memorable stay.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome guests, handle check‑ins, check‑outs, room allocations and billing.
• Respond to guest enquiries by phone and in person with professionalism and efficiency.
• Take and manage reservations, ensuring accuracy and a personalised approach.
• Coordinate guest requests with internal departments to guarantee an effortless experience.
• Anticipate needs, upsell rooms and hotel experiences, and maximise revenue opportunities.
• Resolve guest concerns with empathy, discretion and a solutions‑focused mindset.
• Maintain accurate administrative records, including payments and room‑key management.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 + years experience in a front‑desk or guest‑service role.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail, problem‑solving ability and calm professionalism.
• Flexibility to work a 24‑hour rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays.
• Full working rights in Australia.

Required skills

• Experience with the OPERA Property Management System.
