Group Financial Controller

About the role

AllianceCorp is seeking an experienced Group Financial Controller to join its finance leadership team. Reporting directly to the CFO, this senior position will act as the finance function’s second‑in‑command, overseeing financial operations, governance, reporting and process improvement across multiple entities.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the CFO and executive team to provide strategic financial insights, forecasting and recommendations.
• Lead monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting, including board packs, consolidated statements and cash‑flow forecasts.
• Oversee finance operations such as payroll, accounts payable, receivable, management accounting and settlements.
• Strengthen governance frameworks, financial controls and compliance with Australian Accounting Standards and IFRS.
• Drive finance transformation initiatives, including automation and AI‑enabled efficiency projects.
• Coordinate year‑end audit activities and manage relationships with external stakeholders.

Required profile

• Proven senior finance leadership experience, preferably as a CFO deputy or senior controller.
• Strong commercial mindset with the ability to translate financial data into strategic business decisions.
• Extensive knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards, IFRS and corporate governance requirements.
• Demonstrated experience managing finance teams and driving process improvement.
• Track record of supporting growth initiatives, acquisitions, integrations and finance transformation.
