Grid Advisory Lead

About the role

As the Grid Advisory Lead at Aurecon, you will spearhead the growth of the national Grid Advisory capability, working alongside market‑leading energy advisors and engineering specialists. You will engage with a broad range of clients to shape early‑stage strategies, feasibility studies and investment decisions related to grid, connection and network planning.

Key responsibilities

• Lead grid advisory engagements that influence strategy, feasibility and investment outcomes.
• Advise clients on network load requirements, connection concepts, transmission and distribution planning, and infrastructure options.
• Support technical due diligence, procurement strategy, market engagement and risk assessments for grid connections and TNSP/DNSP projects.
• Build trusted client relationships, contribute to business development and win new work.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to align advisory insights with delivery and expand Aurecon’s Grid Advisory capability nationally.

Required profile

• Electrical engineering tertiary qualification.
• Extensive experience in grid advisory, network planning, grid connection or regulated network environments, preferably within the Australian market.
• Proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts and produce high‑quality reports.
• Experience leading consulting or multidisciplinary project teams.
