Graduate/Junior Accountant – Melbourne CBD

About the role

Key responsibilities

• Assist partners and senior staff in delivering client work on time.
• Prepare financial statements and income tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts, partnerships and SMSFs.
• Compile and lodge BAS, IAS, FBT, CGT and PAYG obligations for a variety of entities.
• Liaise with statutory authorities on behalf of clients.
• Participate in internal training seminars, team meetings and social events.

Required profile

• 0‑2 years of experience in an accounting practice.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• Either commenced or planning to commence CA studies.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organisational ability and attention to detail.

Required skills

• Knowledge of preparing financial statements and tax returns.
• Familiarity with BAS, IAS, FBT, CGT and PAYG processes.
