About the role
Join IBM Consulting as an Associate Application Developer, working with global clients to design and develop high‑quality, scalable solutions across the hybrid cloud and AI landscape.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop and support end‑to‑end system architectures, including front‑end and back‑end components.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define technical specifications for generative AI projects.
- Apply IBM Design Thinking to create user‑centric, high‑performance, secure products.
- Work with relational databases, operating systems and modern UI frameworks to deliver viable products.
Required profile
- Australian citizenship.
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
- Programming proficiency in at least one of the listed languages and experience with systems design.
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

- Java, C++, Python, Scala, R, SAS, SQL, Hadoop, HTML, SPSS, VBA, Tableau, Spark, Angular, ReactJS
- Spring Boot, web services, APIs
- Microservices architecture, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, IBM Cloud, Google Cloud)
