Graduate - Underground Mine Surveying

About the role

Liontown Limited (ASX: LTR) is one of Australia's newest lithium producers, with its Kathleen Valley Lithium Operation in Western Australia described as a tier-one asset with a 20+ year mine life. The Graduate Mine Surveyor joins the Operations division's Mine Geology team, which supports safe, accurate and efficient underground mining through surveying, mapping and data analysis. You will report to the Senior Surveyor - Underground Mine and work alongside experienced underground surveyors from day one, on an 8:6, 12-hour roster with flights between Perth and the site.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with collecting underground survey data and learn to measure and record features such as tunnels, shafts and ore bodies.
• Gain hands-on experience with modern surveying instruments and technologies used in underground mining.
• Contribute to creating and maintaining underground maps, plans and survey drawings.
• Work with mining teams to understand surveying requirements for planning and development.
• Provide surveying support during live mining operations.
• Analyse survey data and contribute to survey reports used in mine planning.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mine Surveying, Geomatics or a related field, completed or near completion.
• Strong interest in mine surveying and underground mining operations.
• Internships or coursework related to mine surveying (highly regarded but not essential).
• Valid Western Australian C Class driver's licence.
• Willingness to develop proficiency in surveying instruments and technologies.
• Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance and pass a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening.
