Graduate Structural Engineer

About the role

Rendel Ingerop Pty Ltd is seeking a Graduate Structural Engineer to join its multidisciplinary design and engineering consultancy across Australia. The role involves working on major infrastructure projects such as bridges, tunnels, ports and rail.

Key responsibilities

• Undertake structural design, assessments and finite element analysis for bridges, buildings, tunnels, underground and maritime structures.
• Perform structural inspections and supervise onsite works on Australian projects.
• Adopt standardised procedures, conduct peer reviews and ensure consistency of technical deliverables.
• Follow company health and safety policies and support organisational change initiatives.

Required profile

• Distinction or higher Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Basic knowledge of Australian Standards and other national/international industry standards.
• Understanding of contract forms, construction methodologies and civil engineering procedures.
• Strong problem‑solving, analytical and numeracy skills with ability to work under pressure.

Required skills

• Proficiency in CAD software.
• Competence with MS Office applications.
• Ability to develop and use proprietary structural analysis programmes (finite element analysis).
