Graduate Speech Pathologist

About the role

APM is recruiting a graduate speech pathologist for its Launceston clinic as part of the Early Start Australia graduate program. The 12-month program supports you to move from student to independent clinician, with clinical supervision, mentoring and training, and a close-knit allied health team.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver early intervention speech pathology services to children and families, supporting communication, participation and independence.
• Conduct formal and informal assessments to identify speech, language and developmental needs.
• Develop and implement individualised, evidence-based therapy plans aligned with family goals.
• Work with families, caregivers and multidisciplinary teams using a key worker/transdisciplinary approach.
• Monitor, review and adapt therapy programs based on client progress and feedback.
• Educate and support families in decision-making and home-based practice.
• Maintain accurate documentation, reports and NDIS-related records.
• Build relationships with schools, health professionals and support coordinators.

Required profile

• Relevant qualification in Speech Pathology and membership or registration with the Speech Pathology Association (SPA).
• Current driver's licence and vehicle.
• Working with Children Check or Working with Vulnerable People Registration (state specific).
• NDIS workers screening check and police check.
• Accredited first aid and CPR certificate.
