Graduate Software Engineer – Entry Level

About the role

Join Tyro Health’s fast‑growing team and help shape the future of payments for Australian healthcare providers. As a Graduate Software Engineer you will work on the Tyro Health web platform, delivering new features under the guidance of senior mentors.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and ship features for the Tyro Health web experience.
• Build new functionality for patients and insurers, ensuring clean, tested, and maintainable code.
• Maintain and extend JavaScript SDKs used by partner networks.
• Collaborate with the Design System to implement consistent UI components.
• Write unit and integration tests to keep the platform stable.
• Participate in daily stand‑ups, sprint planning, and design hand‑off sessions.
• Engage in code reviews to learn from peers and contribute fresh perspectives.

Required profile

• Completed a relevant degree, intensive bootcamp, or 1–2 years of practical experience.
• Demonstrated projects on GitHub, hackathon participation, or internship work.
• Comfortable using modern development tools and agentic tooling such as Cursor and Claude.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Experience with React and an interest in TypeScript.
• Familiarity with unit and integration testing practices.
