Graduate Medical Imaging Technologist (Radiographer) - Grade 1

About the role

Portland District Health is seeking a graduate radiographer or early career radiographer for a fixed-term full-time position (80 hours per fortnight plus monthly ADO) in its Medical Imaging Department. The role offers a diverse clinical load across several imaging modalities, with comprehensive CT training and career development in a supported environment. The position is open from 19 October 2026 to 18 October 2027.

Key responsibilities

• Work across multiple modalities including General X-ray, CT, Theatre and Mammography.
• Deliver compassionate, patient-focused care in an acute hospital setting.
• Contribute to the multi-disciplinary team through good communication and organisational skills.
• Develop skills and experience in CT while growing knowledge in medical imaging.

Required profile

• Graduate or early career radiographer interested in developing CT skills.
• Medical Radiation Practitioner AHPRA registration or eligibility by late 2026.
• Victorian radiation use licence or eligibility by late 2026.
• Eligible for and willing to undergo a police record check or NDIS worker screening check, a Victorian Working with Children's check, right to work in Australia and current immunisation status.
