Graduate KYC Analyst – Entry-Level AML Role

About the role

WhiteLight AML is expanding its Sydney team and is looking for enthusiastic graduates or students to start a career in financial crime, AML/CTF and compliance. As a KYC Analyst you will receive hands‑on training and work on real AML operations, supporting onboarding and customer due diligence for a diverse client portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct KYC activities for individual and low‑to‑medium complexity entity customers.
• Perform customer screening against PEP, sanctions and adverse media databases.
• Review identification and onboarding documentation, and validate beneficial ownership details.
• Monitor cases through AML workflows, support remediation projects and escalate higher‑risk matters.
• Maintain accurate, audit‑ready case notes and assist with customer outreach for outstanding documentation.
• Work with AML platforms such as First AML and other onboarding technologies.

Required profile

• University graduate or current student in Law, Criminology, Commerce, Business or Financial Crime.
• Strong attention to detail, organisational ability and excellent communication skills.
• Genuine interest in financial crime, AML/CTF or compliance.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced operational environment.
