Graduate Hydrologist - Water Resources

About the role

AECOM is recruiting a Graduate Hydrologist for its Perth Water Resources team. You will join experienced engineers and hydrologists on projects covering flood modelling, stormwater management and catchment assessments for mining, development and government clients. The role is full-time.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in developing hydrologic and hydraulic models (e.g. TUFLOW, RORB, HEC-RAS) for flood and drainage studies
• Support data collection, GIS analysis and catchment delineation for project inputs
• Contribute to technical reports, design drawings and client deliverables under senior guidance
• Assist with site investigations, data gathering and field assessments as required
• Collaborate with transport, mining, civil, environmental and structural teams
• Help prepare proposals and scopes of work

Required profile

• Bachelor's or postgraduate degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Hydrology or a related field, in your final year or completed
• Graduated before starting the program, able to commence by February 2027 (mid-year finishers can start by July 2027)
• Full working rights to work in Australia
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, proactive and adaptable mindset
