Graduate Finance Analyst

About the role

BlueScope is seeking a Graduate Finance Analyst to join its Performance, Reporting & Risk team in Mascot (and Port Kembla). The role offers a fast‑track entry into finance within a large‑scale steel manufacturing business, providing exposure to financial reporting, analysis and business partnering across Australian and New Zealand operations.

Key responsibilities

• Support core financial reporting and monthly close processes, including journal entries, accruals and reconciliations.
• Contribute to forecasting, budgeting and variance analysis cycles for key cost centres.
• Prepare and deliver insightful financial analysis and performance reports to stakeholders.
• Partner with Legal, Commercial, Safety and other functions to support reporting and planning activities.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Commerce or a related discipline.
• Willingness to work towards CA/CPA qualification (or already commenced).
• Strong foundation in financial concepts and a curiosity about business operations.
• Confidence working with data in Excel and eagerness to develop technical skills.
