Grade 2 Physiotherapist or Exercise Physiologist - Community Rehabilitation Centre

About the role

The Community Rehabilitation Centre (CRC) is a rehabilitation service operating from Goulburn Valley Health's main campus in Shepparton, working with adults of all ages with a wide range of health issues. It offers clinic-based, 1:1 or group rehabilitation, sometimes in the patient's home, covering movement disorders, cardio-respiratory and cancer conditions. The Grade 2 Physiotherapist or Exercise Physiologist is a suitably experienced, autonomous clinician providing expert assessment, intervention and management of patients needing rehabilitation, with a pivotal clinical and non-clinical role in the multidisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, evidence-based rehabilitation to optimise functional outcomes, promote independence and improve quality of life for patients with complex or chronic conditions
• Contribute to service development, innovation and quality improvement, and oversee relevant program service and delivery
• Support implementation of best practice standards and contribute to ongoing evaluation of service performance
• Supervise and mentor junior exercise physiologists or physiotherapists, allied health assistants and students

Required profile

• Appropriate clinical knowledge and expertise equivalent to a senior clinical role
• Ability to work autonomously but critically as part of a team, with strong communication, insight, reflective practice and problem-solving skills
• Willingness to learn and to coach, supervise and mentor staff and students
