Government Relationship Manager

About the role

Join LexisNexis – a global leader in legal and compliance intelligence – as a Government Relationship Manager. You will be responsible for growing and retaining a portfolio of public‑sector accounts, acting as a trusted advisor on policy, compliance and emerging AI solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and expand a portfolio of ~50 government accounts, focusing on renewals and upsell opportunities.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders in procurement, legal, compliance and policy functions.
• Conduct 15–20 client meetings per month, including demos, discovery sessions and negotiations.
• Develop territory and account plans aligned with government procurement cycles.
• Lead the transition of newly onboarded accounts from Business Development.
• Drive opportunities through the full sales lifecycle (RFQs, RFPs, tenders).
• Maintain accurate pipeline forecasts, CRM records and account reporting.
• Promote AI adoption by sharing best practices and integrating AI, automation and analytics into client workflows.

Required profile

• Approximately 5 years of experience in sales or account management.
• Proven track record of managing and growing customer accounts.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate value of AI‑driven solutions.
• Familiarity with AI technologies and their business applications.
• Ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments, preferably with experience selling to government.
