Golf & Leisure Attendant

About the role

Avani Cypress Lakes Resort is looking for a friendly, motivated and enthusiastic Golf & Leisure Attendant to join its team on a casual basis. As part of the Golf Operations team, you will deliver service to members and guests while supporting the day-to-day running of the Golf Pro Shop and leisure facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome guests and members, process golf check-ins and bookings, and provide excellent customer service.
• Assist with retail sales and merchandising, and keep the Pro Shop clean, organised and well presented.
• Advise guests on golf, membership, resort facilities and local attractions.
• Manage bookings for golf and tennis facilities, and support daily operations including competition administration, tee sheet management and field marshalling.
• Prepare and maintain golf carts, rental equipment, practice facilities and other assets, and collect, wash and maintain range balls and equipment.
• Help with general maintenance of the cart shed, course amenities and surrounding facilities.
• Complete opening and closing procedures, cash handling and Pro Shop administration, serve refreshments from the drinks cart when required, and ensure Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) standards are met.
• Maintain guest privacy and confidentiality, and support the team with other operational duties.

Required profile

• Passion for customer service, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a positive attitude.
• Willingness to work outdoors and perform physical tasks.
• Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including weekends, public holidays and school holidays.
• Previous hospitality, retail, golf operations or customer service experience is highly regarded but not essential.
• A current RSA certificate, or willingness to obtain one.
• Only candidates with working rights in Australia or New Zealand are accepted.
