Golf and Hospitality Team Member

About the role

Golf Services Management is hiring casual staff for the busy summer period at St Andrews Beach Golf Course and Bay Views Golf Course, both on the Mornington Peninsula. As a Golf & Hospitality Team Member, you will deliver a first-class customer experience across Golf Operations, Retail and Food & Beverage. It is a varied, hands-on role suited to motivated people who enjoy a customer-focused environment, reporting to the Operations Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Golf operations: administration and customer service, opening and closing the Operations Centre with minor housekeeping, front counter service and tee sheet / time sheet management
• Coordinate golf activities: 1st tee control, course marshalling, cart fleet management, and support operational policies and procedures
• Manage customer payments, future tee bookings and payments, competition administration, group bookings (social and corporate) and assist in delivering a consistent facility experience
• Retail: sell golf merchandise, present the retail space cleanly and professionally, and help with stock control and ordering
• Food & Beverage: front-of-house service including orders, delivery, bar and barista duties, minor housekeeping, assisting the back-of-house team and helping with stock control and ordering

Required profile

• Highly motivated with a strong customer service focus
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary role
• Willing to learn and follow policies and procedures
• Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate is mandatory
• Knowledge of golf and experience in food & beverage service is preferred; training is provided to the right candidate

Casual position, with hours mainly on peak trading days (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) from dawn to dusk. Applications are made through the Seek portal and are reviewed as they arrive.
