Gold Processing Trainer (Mining)

About the role

Westgold Resources is seeking a Gold Processing Trainer to support its Western Australian operations. The role involves delivering high‑quality training, assessments and WHS compliance across the processing site, directly enhancing safety, capability and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct site inductions and ensure all personnel are competent and compliant.
• Facilitate VOCs, task‑based assessments and refresher training for operational roles.
• Deliver training and competency‑based assessments for operators, supervisors and contractors.
• Support WHS compliance, including critical risk controls and Principal Mining Hazard awareness.
• Maintain accurate training records and ensure data integrity.
• Provide feedback, mentoring and WHS leadership to drive safety improvements.

Required profile

• Operational experience in a gold processing plant.
• Proven experience delivering training, inductions and competency assessments in a mining environment.
• Strong knowledge of WA Work Health and Safety Act 2020, WHS (Mines) Regulations 2022 and principal mining hazards.
• Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE40122) or equivalent.
• Certificate III in Process Plant Operations (PMA30120) or equivalent.
• C Class driver’s licence and ability to obtain a National Police Clearance.
